East Village Coffee is a small, cozy coffee shop located in Dublin, Ireland. Inspired by the creative and lively spirit of East Village neighborhoods. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a great cup of coffee, take a moment to relax, and feel at home. With a mix of modern design and a welcoming vibe, it’s all about creating a space where people can connect and enjoy the little things. From it’s beginning, East Village Coffee has had sense of community at the centre of their values and as their business was growing, the need for rebranding took place.

Problem
EVC’s old branding kept things running for a while, however it didn’t speak the brand values which were needed to be conveyed. The brand seemed to be little distant with it’s old identity and was not able to stay cohesive across the touch points.
Solution
The solution came with brand strategy as we discovered the core value of EVC. The visuals represent the fun nature of the brand. The logo is playful, sophisticated as well as organised. The logo is accompanied by hand drawn illustration which lean into the aspect of authenticity which brand has kept within itself from the initial days. The art style takes inspiration from the art style mastered by the artists such as Sofiia Oswald (IG @sofiiaoswld).
Wordmark
The Wordmark became perfect for the brand because one, it aligned perfectly with the feeling EVC wanted to convey and other, the logo variations became possible, which would help to cover more touch points and increase legibility from different distances.
